So I remember seeing a commercial for a show a while back, It was called Losing It with Gillian……
When I first read the title I have to admit I was like man.
I wanted to lose my virginity the whole time I was in High School. No one ever offered to get me laid.
Now they got a show and people are losing it through national exposure, I’d do that.
And then I realized it was a weight loss show hosted by what seemed like Gordon Ramsey’s evil sister, playing peoples life coach. Then I thought wouldn’t that be great, actually having Ramsey host a weight loss show where he would torture overweight foodies preparing amazing gourmet food and quickly unleashing his fury upon them when they try to eat it. Everyone wins, that’s entertainment. The foodies, they watch the food network and so I guess food is their fetish. So what you’ve got here at its core is a 24 hour cycle of Food Porn. Complete with a wide variety of offerings, you’ve got your hardcore Larry Flint presents Man Vs Food 24 Return to Chili Mountain. There’s your classy brand as well, with Paula Dean’s Welcome Home Special, and then you’ve got your flavor of the month hip food porn, or as those in the know call it, “Culinary Erotica”, I guess that’s Anthony Bourdain Does Chile. I suppose that’s all good and well, but I can’t really identify with the foodies, don’t get me wrong, I’m American I love to eat, but my food porno fantasies are not quite as spectacular as this lot. While these guys are getting worked up over pepper corned salmon fillets, I relive my Teddy Grahams and Ice Cream three way, from the night before, turn over and go to bed.
